Avengers: Endgame is returning to theaters with a new post-credits scene

Marvel Studios
Avengers: Endgame is finally getting an official post-credits scene, with a limited-time rerelease in theaters this weekend.

Marvel Studios co-president Kevin Feige told Screen Rant that a new version of Endgame will appear in theaters that has a couple of additional scenes not in the original. Feige said if people “stay and watch the movie, after the credits, there’ll be a deleted scene, a little tribute, and a few surprises.”

The description suggests that Endgame’s additional materials won’t be akin to the quick post-credit scenes Marvel fans are accustomed to. Feige didn’t provide any additional details, but told Screen Rant the rerelease would roll into theaters “next weekend.” That’s one week before Spider-Man: Far From Home comes out, suggesting that Endgame’s additional features probably tie into the next Peter Parker installment. Marvel previously attached the trailer for Far From Home to Endgame a couple of weeks after Endgame was released.

Endgame marked the end of a 22-movie journey through the Marvel Cinematic Universe over the last 11 years. The film brought in more than $2.7 billion worldwide — and is approximately $45 million away from beating Avatar as the top-grossing movie of all time. Could that also be why Disney and Marvel Studios are sending the film back to theaters? Maybe.

The Verge has reached out to Marvel Studios for more concrete information about the rerelease.

Stand-alone controllers for Google Stadia now available for pre-order

The “Founder's edition” pre-order bundle for Google’s Stadia includes a Chromecast Ultra along with the controller and costs $130. Now you can get just the controller on its own in one of three colors. You may still want to get the full bundle even you already have the Chromecast, though.

The controller alone is $70, so you’re saving $60 – that’s how much the Chromecast Ultra costs. However, the bundle comes with 3 months of Stadia Pro (normally $10 a month) and a Buddy Pass to invite a friend. The free tier of Stadia will not be available until 2020, so you can't use that to test the service.

If you already have the Chromecast and someone gives you their Buddy Pass, then it’s worth it to skip the Founder's edition bundle. Do note that it comes in an exclusive Night Blue color while the stand-alone controllers are available only in Clearly White, Just Black and Wasabi.

If that works for you, follow the Source link to the Google Store listing of the stand-alone Stadia controller. And don't miss our thoughtson Google's streaming gaming service.

TikTok suicide, PUBG death: Here’s how to fight digital addiction

New Delhi: Digital addiction is real and it could be as dangerous as drug addiction, warned psychiatrists while outlining practical ways to fight the urge to use gadgets non-stop both among children and adults.

The warning came following reports of a 24-year-old mother committing suicide last week in Tamil Nadu after she was prevented from using TikTok and a 16-year-old student from Madhya Pradesh suffering a major cardiac arrest and losing his life after playing PUBG for six straight hours last month.

The key to fighting digital addiction is to realise the problem when someone develops it, the experts said.

“The two most important things that people have to do is maintain a balance between work, life indoor, outdoor recreation and social engagements. One must also ensure they are getting proper sleep. It is essential,” Samir Parikh, Director, Department of Mental Health and Behavioral Sciences, Fortis Healthcare, told IANS.

Parikh also recommended that adults should undergo a four hours of “digital detox” every week – a period when they do not use their phone or any gadget.

“If one finds it difficult to go through those four hours then there is a problem which needs to be addressed,” he said.

People who are addicted to using gadgets, tend to get “withdrawal symptoms” in the form of always thinking about that them, or becoming irritable with disturbed sleep when they try to stop using their devices, said Sandeep Vohra, Senior Consultant, Psychiatry, Indraprastha Apollo Hospitals, New Delhi.

“Digital addiction is as bad as addiction to any other drug. So if you are hit by digital addiction, the signs are that you actually tend to go off your normal routine life. You are always dependent and on the screen,” Vohra told IANS.

Such people can neglect personal hygiene and their own self. They also tend to stop interacting with the society, with their family members and stop thinking about their responsibilities or stop doing their day-to-day chores.

“One can have clinical depression, anxiety, obsessive symptoms, insomnia, irritability, and difficulty in concentrating on other things.

“And you can have in rare cases, when one becomes over-dependent, psychosis. So you have to be aware of all this and it can be very challenging if you don’t realise that you are going into addiction,” Vohra added.

It is not just adults who are vulnerable to digital addiction as use of smartphones and other gaming devices have become common among children.

But do we know when a child starts showing signs of addiction and when to seek help?

The experts suggested that parents should be alarmed when they notice that a child’s ability to live life normally has got affected and they lash out badly when digital access is denied.

“Parents need to be good role models. If parents spend too much time on digital gadgets then children learn and follow by example. Encourage children to be social and develop hobbies,” Parikh said.

“If you keep focusing your child’s attention on indoor activities there are higher chances of him/her becoming digitally addicted. Therefore encourage him/her to play sports or meet friends and family. Reading is also a great way to combat boredom if indoors,” he added.

Vohra suggested that when parents realise that their child is spending too much time on screen, it is very important first to have a dialogue with the kid and ask them to cut down on media consumption.

“If they feel that either the child is not responding the way they want, or if they feel that the child is trying to tell them lies and still using time on screen, then it’s better to consult a mental health professional,” Vohra informed.

Shroud comments on Dr DisRespect’s Twitch ban: “There’s nothing you could say”

Guy “Dr DisRespect” Beahm’s Twitch ban is still a hot topic among his fellow streamers.

Michael “shroud” Grzesiek was one of the top streamers who shared his opinion this time. He was playing Fallout 76 Nuclear Winter last night when someone asked him about the Doc, who had his channel suspended after streaming inside a public bathroom at the E3 conference four times.

“First time, I can somewhat let it slide,” shroud said. “Three times after that, there’s nothing you could say. You can maybe say something the first time. Three other times, it’s just RIP.”

Shroud said he believes DisRespect will be unbanned “for sure,” but that there might be further implications for him on the business side after that. Neither Twitch nor Doc have commented yet on the length of his ban, and it’s unclear if it’s temporary or permanent.

DisRespect wrote last night that “mishaps lead to recaps” and shared a clip of him at E3 without the bathroom part. He’s preparing a video to publish soon, but he hasn’t confirmed if it’ll be a video with his best moments of the E3 stream or if he’s talking about the Twitch suspension on it. At the time of writing, Doc has yet to publish it on Twitter or his YouTube channel.

Shroud didn’t comment on Doc’s tweet. His reaction was similar to that of other big Twitch streamers like Tim “TimTheTatman” Betar, who praised Doc for how fun his stream was before he walked into the bathroom. But he agreed that the stream went the wrong way after that part.

Fans should expect Dr DisRespect to publish his E3 video soon on Twitter or YouTube.

T-Series Grabs GUINNESS World Records Title for 100 -Mln Fan Army in New Blow to PewDiePie

While the race for the YouTube crown is long over, after Pewds ditched the tournament citing the music legal entity’s overwhelming popularity in densely populated India, T-Series appears to be setting new ambitious goals.

The chairman of India’s biggest music and film production company T-Series, which has until recently been in a long-standing battle with the Swedish vlogger PewDiePie for YouTube supremacy, has been presented with the official Guinness World Records certificate after his brainchild  became the “First YouTube Channel to surpass 100 million subscribers” benchmark. The label’s chair and managing director received the honour at a solemn function in Mumbai on Friday, from Rishi Nath, a jury member at Guinness World Records TM.

Kumar has shared his utmost delight, first expressing gratitude to his team, including his wife Divya, “who deserves a special thanks for always being a pillar of strength in everything” he does.

“We are extremely excited and humbled to have brought T-Series to this pinnacle and be bestowed a prestigious global benchmark of achievement and excellence such as the Guinness World Records TM”, Kumar was quoted by The Times of India as saying, before stressing that the headway is the collective effort of “my team that has helped us reach this milestone”.

The businessman, whose label’s fan base spans well beyond India, especially dwelled on his intentions not to stop at that, but continue their work toward new frontiers.

T-Series , which has made an exceptional run at global markets  while being the destination of a wealth of content including music and movie production and distribution, has recently made a splash with such Indian box office hits as Aashiqui 2, Hindi Medium, Tumhari Sulu, along with Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety, and Raid.

The company has until recently been engaged in a tug of war with the video game star Felix Kjellberg, aka PewDiePie, with the latter racking up new subscribers as the top individual creator, unlike T-Series, which has largely  risen to prominence due to India increasingly going online over the last couple of years. Before T-Series’ win, Pewds had remained the unconditional YouTube king for six years. In late April, the Swede recognised his defeat and called off the race, which began in August 2018.

Avengers Endgame needs a miracle to surpass Avatar’s worldwide collection

Barring a miracle, Avengers: Endgame will end up at the second position behind Avatar.
What looked certain not long ago is looking more and more difficult now. Avengers: Endgame will likely not be able to cross Avatar’s worldwide box office earnings by the time it is out of theaters.

A report in Forbes says Endgame has crossed what could be its final benchmark. It has crossed the domestic total of Jurassic Park, when adjusted for inflation. So far Endgame has earned 825.82 million dollars in North America. It will be a miracle if Endgame breaks any more records.
At the worldwide box office, it has minted 2.73 billion dollars so far. Avatar ended its box office run with 2.78 billion dollars. Even a summer like this with multiple box office disappointments is taking its toll on the big Marvel conclusion. Even box office bombs are eating into the earnings of Endgame and it has become tough for it to survive.

PlayStation 5 and Xbox Scarlett Will Cost $400, Says Analyst

“The specs suggest $500 or so,” said Pachter to GamingBolt when asked what he thinks the PS5 and next Xbox will cost, “but my bias is that Microsoft will announce $399 and Sony will follow suit.”

As you may know, this lines up with a prediction of another industry analyst, Pelham Smithers, from earlier this year, who claimed the PS5 will cost $400. That said, there's multiple rumors suggesting the PS5 is more powerful than the Xbox Scarlett, which begs the question: will it cost more? Maybe, but it's important to remember the PS4 was more powerful than the Xbox One, but still $100 cheaper at launch. While I don't think Microsoft will get burned on price again, Sony is no stranger to eating costs at launch in favor of a more appealing price-point.

There's been some speculation that the two systems could come in at $600 or higher, but I don't see that happening. Optically, coming in at more than $500 is a terrible idea, especially in a market that's not exactly yearning for the next round of consoles. People still seem very content with their PS4s and Xbox Ones.

Anyway, as always, feel free to leave a comment letting us know what you think or, alternatively, hit me up on Twitter @Tyler_Fischer_ and let me know over there. How much do you think the PS5 and Xbox Scarlett will cost? Both Sony Interactive Entertainment and Microsoft have revealed their next-gen consoles: PlayStation 5 and Xbox Scarlett, respectively. That said, neither have divulged salient details, such as a release date or price-point. Pertaining to the former, we know Xbox Scarlett will release holiday 2020, and presumably the PS5 will release within the same time frame. But when it comes to how much the two systems will cost, we have no clue. That said, according to one analyst, both will cost $400, which is cheaper than many are expecting the two consoles to ring up at.

According to the predictions of industry analyst Michael Pachter, the two systems will avoid the half-a-grand price tag. Pachter believes the specs of the systems suggest they will cost $500, but he thinks both Sony and Microsoft are ready to eat those costs up front in order to push units.

One-Punch Man Dominates U.S. Manga Sales In The U.S.

Not satisfied with simply destroying the competition with one punch in his own series, Saitama is leveling the playing field in the world of book sales by overtaking the month of May 2019. The latest volume of One-Punch Man was released at the start of May and handily took the number one spot, joined by three other manga to fill the top four slots. Berserk, Dragon Ball Super, and My Hero Academia followed One-Punch Man, making the month manga-centric without a doubt.

Anime News Network broke the news on their Twitter Account from the NPD/Bookscan regarding the top book sellers from the month of May:

The latest volume of One-Punch Man, Volume 16, continues the story of Saitama and the Hero Association as they attempt to protect their city from monsters, as the "hero for fun" struggles with his heightened abilities. Following One-Punch Man was the release of "Berserk Deluxe Volume 1", which is a re-release of the first several volumes of the Berserk manga into a larger hardcover format.

After these two series, Dragon Ball Super's fifth manga volume took third place as it finished their version of the "Goku Black" arc. Finally, My Hero Academia's first volume once again took a spot in the top 10 for fans looking to either catch up with the series or revisit the beginning of Midoriya and UA Academy's journeys. The other manga series that placed in the top 20 included JoJo's Bizarre Adventure, Black Clover, Junji Ito's Smashed, and One Piece.

Aside from manga, the other comic collections that hit the top of the spots included Marvel's Infinity Gauntlet, adaptations for both Stranger Things, The Legend of Korra, and Life Is StrangeDC Comics' Watchmen, and Godzilla Aftershock. The NPD itself takes its information from over 16,000 book stores, covering 85 percent of the US trade print book market.

What do you think of the top books that sold for the month of May 2019? Have you picked up the latest copy of One-Punch Man? Feel free to let us know in the comments or hit me up directly on Twitter @EVComedy to talk all things comics and anime.

One-Punch Man Season Two is streaming on Hulu. The season is directed by Chikara Sakurai for new production studio J.C. Staff. The new season is described as follows, "Saitama is a hero who only became a hero for fun. After three years of “special training,” he’s become so strong that he’s practically invincible. In fact, he’s too strong—even his mightiest opponents are taken out with a single punch. Now, the great seer Madame Shibabawa’s prediction about the Earth being doomed seems to be coming true as the frequency of monster incidents escalates. Alongside Genos, his faithful disciple, Saitama begins his official hero duties as a member of the Hero Association, while Garou, a man utterly fascinated by monsters, makes his appearance."

Nvidia's ray tracing gamble pays off: Cyberpunk 2077, Call of Duty, Watch Dogs & other games to get support

When Nvidia first announced real-time ray tracing support on its RTX graphics cards, the feature was poorly received. The ray tracing support came with a higher price tag, and only a handful of games adopted the feature.

But despite Nvidia’s steep RTX tax and limited games support, the RTX graphics cards started the ray tracing conversation. Fast-forward to E3 2019, and the question about ray tracing being a gimmick has been laid to rest as more developers are incorporating support for the feature in their games.

At E3 2019, ray tracing has come out in force. Nvidia’s biggest RTX win came in the form of the partnership with Nvidia and CD Projekt Red, a partnership which will bring real-time ray tracing support to Cyberpunk 2077, one of the biggest games showcased at the event.

Head of GeForce marketing at Nvidia, Matt Wuebbling, said; “Cyberpunk 2077 is an incredibly ambitious game, mixing first-person perspective and deep role-playing, while also creating an intricate and immersive world in which to tell its story. We think the world of Cyberpunk will greatly benefit from the realistic lighting that ray tracing delivers.”

Ray tracing is an advanced graphics technique. It is used to give movies ultra-realistic visual effects. The RT cores in Nvidia’s GeForce RTX cards are specifically designed to accelerate ray tracing to render in-game visual effects in real time.

Head of Studio at CD Projekt Red, Adam Badowski, said: “Ray tracing allows us to realistically portray how light behaves in a crowded urban environment. Thanks to this technology, we can add another layer of depth and verticality to the already impressive megacity the game takes place in.”

But it isn’t just Cyberpunk 2077; ray tracing is coming to several other titles like Watch Dogs: Legion, the new Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, Dying Light 2, Sword, Fairy 7, Wallenstein: Young Blood, and Remedy’s Control to name a few. Ray tracing has become so popular that next-gen Xbox and PlayStation console will also integrate the feature.

Considering the next-gen consoles will use AMD graphics, we’re likely to see the feature on the next-generation of AMD cards as well. So, it’s safe to say that Nvidia’s big ray tracing gamble seems to have paid off.

EXCLUSIVE VIDEO: Spider Man aka Tom Holland on tear jerking Iron Man scene: There was no real script at all

Avengers: Endgame was the most awaited movie and MCU fans flipped out when they saw major sequences such as fat Thor, Captain America getting the hammer and the return of decimated heroes, but one scene which broke fans hearts was that of Iron Man's death as he brought back the decimated. So, when Tom Holland who is gearing up for his upcoming MCU movie Spider-Man: Far From Home was asked what was it like to shoot the highly emotional Iron Man sequence, he said, "It was interesting because when we shot that scene with Robert there was no real script at all".

Tom further added, "There were just Kevin Feige, two Russo Brothers, myself, Robert Downey Jr. Gwyneth Paltrow and Don Cheadle. They kind of brought us to the set. They kind of told us what was gonna happen of what wanted to happen and then, we sort of just improvised if I can remember correctly. So, it was really really interesting way to shoot such a kind of pivotal scene in the movie but it was really emotional day and looking back to now it was may be it was the craziest day I have ever had on the set you know but it was really amazing and turned out to be a fantastic scene."

When asked whether Spider-Man has what it takes to carry forward the legacy of Iron Man, he said that he does have the potential but he has to realise. He also said that the Far From Home movie is about him becoming Iron Man as the movie is about him becoming Spider-Man. He also said that he was amazed on how he didn't give out any spoilers this time during press tours of Avengers: Endgame.

One-Punch Man Shows Off Saitama's Coldest Kill

Bakuzan manages to talk a lot of trash to Saitama when the hero finally steps into the Super Fights ring in his full One-Punch Man costume and persona. Bakuzan simply sees Saitama as a puny hero wanting to make a name for himself - that is, until Bakuzan recognizes the bald figure as the same "puny" Super Fights competitor that knocked him out in just one punch. After that the games are done, as Bakuzan attacks Saitama with the full force of his martial arts super-attacks, enhanced with a monster's edge.

Monster-Bakuzan's power is enough to admittedly move Saitama - like, literally, the super kicks and punches the villain hits the hero with are enough to make Saitama slide across the ring a bit. Suiryu thinks that it's Saitama's strategy at work, and the hero is simply taking the punishment as a way of covering the injured martial artists scattered around the ring. However, in truth, Saitama is just trying to work out a dilemma: he cannot remember Bakuzan's name, despite facing him in the Super Fights tournament. Saitama eventually gives up on the memory attempt, and decimates Bakuzan in one punch, leaving the monster's entire upper torso and head completely blown way.

This was definitely Saitama's "coldest kill" in the sense that he utterly destroys Bakuzan as an afterthought. It happens so fast that not even Suiryu or poor Bakuzan himself see it happening as it does; one second the ferocious monster is on the rampage, the next he's mangled corpse littering the arena. It's a quick an decisive end to the monster attack / Super Fights arc, but the victory is a hollow one, as Saitama is ultimately left felling depressed and unfulfilled by his entire Super Fights experience.

One-Punch Man Season 2 is now streaming on Hulu, and on Crunchyroll outside of the United States. The season is directed by Chikara Sakurai (Naruto Shippudenepisode director), for new production studio J.C. Staff. Yoshikazu Iwanami serves as sound director, and Chikashi Kubota contributes new character designs.

Nintendo is at E3 2019, although it doesn't hold press conferences anymore. Instead, is hosts a Nintendo Direct live stream. It's jam-packed with games.

The big Nintendo E3 news is the fact that The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild 2 is coming to Nintendo Switch and it's a direct sequel to the console's launch game. No release date was announced, but we did get an 82-second trailer featuring Link and Zelda traversing a dark dungeon.

We also got to see more of Luigi's Mansion 3, which was announced at E3 last year, and this year's update on the game's progress shows off  a green gooey Luigi doppelganger. He can squeeze through steel gates and cross over normally deadly spikes. It's coming out in 2019, though Nintendo didn't give us a specific date at E3.

We also got a first look at another Zelda game: The Legend of Zelda: Links Awakening, which does have a firm release date: September 20, 2019. It's around the corner. One Nintendo game not coming as quickly as fans had hoped is the next Animal Crossing game. Animal Crossing: New Horizons was delayed to March 20, 2020.

The Nintendo Direct at E3 actually began with Super Smash Bros. Ultimate DLC. It's getting a Dragon Quest 11 cross-over and, later in the E3 video, we got news of a Banjo Kazooie crossover.

WHEN IS E3 2019?

E3 stands for the Electronic Entertainment Expo, and while that hasn't changed from year to year, the press conference schedule has gotten shuffled. So we'll explain it quickly.

The official E3 2019 dates are Tuesday, June 11 to Thursday, June 13. However, that's just for the portion of the show held inside the Los Angeles Convention Center. You know, the massive show floor where game demos happen.

E3 press conferences happen in the proceeding days, and this year it started with EA Play on Saturday, June 8 at the Hollywood Palladium. EA's full day event offered deep dive trailers into EA's biggest titles.

Sunday belonged to Microsoft and Bethesda, while Monday is being reserved for the PC Gaming Show, Square Enix and Ubisoft E3 press conferences. Nintendo has its video presentation Tuesday, right before the E3 show floor opens.

EA E3 press conference time
It's over, but we have the EA Play re-cap. It started on Saturday, June 8 at 9:15am PT for fans with tickets at the Hollywood Palladium.

What happened?
EA didn't come with surprises, but dedicated about 30 minutes to each previously announced game, providing ample time for game walkthroughs, not just simple trailers and sizzle reels. We actually got to learn about new modes and gameplay mechanics. It was meaningful.

Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order: gameplay, release date, trailers and news
Apex Legends Season 2: Battle Cry
Battlefield 5 Chapter 4: Defying the Odds – here's everything new coming
FIFA 20: release date, news, Volta modes and everything else there is to know
Madden NFL 20 release date, trailers and gameplay changes
The Sims 4: Island Living expansion
Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order was the highlight from Respawn Entertainment looking a bit like Uncharted with a lightsaber and The Force powers (that's not a bad thing). There was no Titanfall 3, from the developer, but we did see Apex Legends Season 2: Battle Cry get a start date of July 2.

EA Sports gave us deep looks into both FIFA 20 and Madden 20, while Battlefield 5 Chapter 4 and The Sims 4: Island Living expanded their respective (and very different) universes.

What wasn't at EA's E3 2019?
We didn't get many surprises – BioWare's Dragon Age 4 has been an E3 no-show, even though it did get a teaser trailer at last year’s The Game Awards. Likewise, we didn't see anything from PopCap (famous for Plants vs Zombies) and Ghost Games, the new stakeholders of the Need for Speed franchise. And, like we mentioned, Titanfall 3 was a no show, which is no surprise – Respawn is working on two other big games already being shown at E3.

CALL OF DUTY: MODERN WARFARE: FIRST MULTIPLAYER SCREENSHOTS REVEALED - E3 2019

During E3 Coliseum 2019, the first in-game multiplayer screenshots were revealed for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare.

The first image shows a player in a full Gillie Suit, complete with a silenced sniper rifle. Infinity Ward's new engine allows for dynamic cloth, so when the Gillie Suit moves, the rest of the suit will move realistically.

The character is also wearing a veil over his/her head, and as the character moves, so does every part of the clothing and suit.

The second image showed and teased the return of the Juggernaut suit and Special Ops to Call of Duty: Modern Warfare.

Infinity Ward art director Joel Emslie also discussed he asked for, early on, heavy metal music to start playing as you near a Juggernaut, as the soldier inside chose it as his music of choice on the battlefield.

Other details were revealed during the panel, including that while some character are returning from 2007's Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, all the voice actors are new.

They also further discussed their new engine, that took over 5 years to create, which allows for such things as the caliber of a bullet determining how/if it can penetrate a wall and make it through.

While the first previews of the game discussed the smaller, more intense settings in Modern Warfare, they want fans to rest easy knowing that there are still larger scale sections of the campaign.

Speaking of the Campaign, you will play half of the story as Sgt. Kyle Garrick, a former British Army Officer who will work along returning character Cpt. Price, who will be a different character to the original but will honor what made him so memorable.

The second half will be centered around a CIA agent named Alex who embeds with local forces in the Middle East and is assigned to work with another Commander Farrah who is "a corollary of Cpt. Price."

5 signs that a new age of CS:GO has begun

5 signs that a new age of CS:GO has begun
With the 2019 Counter-Strike season almost reaching the halfway mark, we have already witnessed massive changes taking place in the global circuit. From the fall of some big teams to the rise of the underdogs, entertaining events and some big upsets, the season has yet to dissapoint in terms of pure entertainment value. All of this has culminated into what we believe to be the onset of a new era in the competitive circuit.

Here are five signs that might point towards this.

1. ENCE - From Rags To Riches

The organization who has had a rough history, started out once again last year with an aim to put Finland out there on the competitive scene. Though the team did consistently well, the big break that propelled them up the ladder was their brilliant performance at IEM Katowice 2019.

While they were not the talk of the town stepping into the tournament, the dark horses became the centre of attention as they advanced through the stages.

ENCE came into the spotlight after surviving the Legends stage and made it into the top eight. But this was just the start as the Finns went on to face the top three teams in the world one after the other.

Every win, a celebration and an achievement equivalent in their fans' eyes to claiming the major. The finals against Astralis was a bit of a buzz kill but the barrier had been breached and ENCE's name cemented.

2. Liquid - Breaking Their Curse

After stringing over five second-place finishes in 2018 alone, the team which had been struggling for a victory in a premier CS event for years, finally struck gold at IEM Sydney 2019.

Liquid had built up a reputation to choke under pressure but they finally pulled through and broke the uber-famous, community applied tag of ‘The Liquid Curse’.

As Liquid defeated Fnatic to create their own rendition of ‘a walk to remember’, they lifted the coveted trophy in the land down under. To the few haters who believed this to be a one-time miracle, Team Liquid replied not by words but by standing victorious at the DreamHack Masters Dallas 2019, which also marked the possible end of the Astralis Era with Liquid claiming the number one spot on HLTV's global rankings.

AMD Announces New CPU and GPU Products at Next Horizon Event

With E3 just kicking off, AMD has been involved in a flurry of recent announcements. Two weeks ago, AMD held the opening keynote for Computex 2019. On the CPU side of the house, AMD announced the third generation of Ryzen processors, the first to be using the “Zen 2” core. The new lineup included a new 12-core, 24-thread offering on the AM4 socket, meaning consumers now have another increase of cores on the mainstream AM4 socket. A July 7th release date was announced for those products.

With a new processor lineup usually comes a new line of motherboards. The X570 chipset will power new AM4 motherboards released alongside the third generation of Ryzen. Current owners of a motherboard utilizing the X370/X470 chipset will also see some love in the form of support for the new CPU lineup, even if they will not see an update to support PCIe 4.0.

On the Radeon graphics side of the house, AMD announced the new RDNA architecture and upcoming RX-5700 series graphics cards based on that new architecture. Last week came a rather unexpected announcement that Samsung will license AMD’s RDNA-based Radeon graphics technology for use in mobile segments, presumably as part of their Exynos SoC. It is extremely noteworthy given that AMD sold its previous mobile IP to Qualcomm in 2009. After the acquisition, Qualcomm then rebranded that technology as Adreno, an anagram of Radeon. Adreno is still in use in new Snapdragon SoCs.

AMD Processor Related Announcements

Today, as part of a livestream event announced at Computex, AMD has made even more announcements. On the CPU side of the house, Dr. Lisa Su announced the long-awaited 16-core,32-thread Ryzen R9-3950X. The R9-3950X uses the AM4 socket, a change from the first 2 generations being part of the high-end Ryzen Threadripper and X399 lineup.

With this new processor added to the Ryzen product line, AMD once again doubles the core and thread count available to mainstream consumers. Users will have to wait a short while to acquire this CPU as it will not be released until September. Separately, AMD has made a change in name by introducing Gamercache as a name for the increased total cache.

Also announced was a new generation of Ryzen-G processors. Since these APUs are a year behind the rest of the Ryzen lineup, the R3-3200G and R5-3400G will not use the “Zen 2” core. The two APUs pick up from where the previous generation stopped, making improvements in both CPU base and boost frequencies.

The R5-3400G receives a few more improvements that are not included on its sibling. AMD added Precision Boost Overdrive (PBO), a new TIM and improved graphics clock speeds. They have also changed the bundled cooler to the Wraith Spire for the R5-3400G, allowing to take better advantage of the improvements added specifically to that APU.

Both the R3-3200G and R5-3400G will be available on July 7th alongside the other Ryzen processors releasing that day.

Radeon RX 5700XT

AMD Radeon Graphics Related Announcements

On the graphics side of the house, the talk was about details on RDNA and the upcoming RX-5700 series, named so in celebration of AMD’s 50th anniversary. The initial release of RDNA-based graphics technology will include an RX-5700 and RX-5700XT graphics card with 8GB of GDDR6 memory. These GPUs are designed to compete against the NVIDIA Geforce RTX 2060 and 2070, respectively. In regards to cooling, the reference models of the RX-5700 series will use a blower design, leaving other cooling designs to the different manufacturers that offer Radeon graphics cards.

Just as AMD has added new names and terms on the CPU side, the RX-5700 series also adds some names and terminology. AMD has now added a third “Game Clock” that sits between the base and boost clocks. The new level essentially establishes a sustainable clock speed under load, allowing the boost mode to become a variable target speed. This behaves in a similar fashion to Precision Boost Overdrive, meaning that the graphics card automatically adjusts the clock speed without overheating.

There are improvements in graphics technology beyond RDNA and the RX-5700 series. Radeon Display Engine, which supports both the HDMI 2.0b and DP 1.4 HDR standards. The new DisplayPort support includes Display Stream Compression (DSC), allowing displays of 4K/240Hz, 4K HDR/120Hz and 8K HDR/60Hz though a single cable.

Radeon Media Engine improves hardware-based encoding and decoding on H.264, H.265, and VP9 standards. These improvements will have a wide reach, from gamers who also stream (Twitch/OBS) and into higher-end production using applications like DaVinci Resolve. Finally, the XT-5700 series will also receive a new feature called Radeon Image Sharpening.

Along with new graphics hardware comes software improvements. On July 7th, the Adrenalin software package will release a new update – one that goes beyond just supporting the XT-5700 series. Owners of GCN based graphics cards will be able to use features such as Radeon ReLive and Link – which will be offered for both Android TV and Apple TV. Custom settings will have a new feature to save those settings, allowing for easy reconfiguration in situations such as a “clean uninstall” or format and re-installation of Windows and applications. New technologies include an “anti-lag” feature and a new GPUOpen developer toolkit named FidelityFX. AMD is working with many game developers in implementing these tools, some which joined AMD on stage at the Next Horizon event.

Finally, AMD has identified an error in the RX-5700 series renderings. The renders show an 8+8 power connection, but the actual models (as photographed above) only require an 8+6 pin connection.

We will be providing more details on much of these announcements in upcoming articles.

These Are The Best Battle Royale Games One Can Play On Mobile Right Now

1) Crossfire Legends

If you like PUBG Mobile, then you'll most likely enjoy Crossfire Legends too. It's a fantastic game and it's developed by Tencent, the guys who made PUBG Mobile. Just like PUBG Mobile, Crossfire Legends' BR mode also lets you dive into a solo, duo or a squad game.

Crossfire Legends got great weapons and amazing visuals, so it's definitely worth checking out. In addition to the BR mode, this particular game also offers a few different modes such as Team Deathmatch, Mutant mode, and more

2) Call Of Duty: Mobile

This one's a fairly new game. Heck, it's not even available for all users, but it's still worth adding to the list. Call of Duty: Mobile, though it's only available for select registered users, has gained a lot of traction. It's got a Battle Royale mode, Team Deathmatch, etc.

Call of Duty: Mobile differentiates itself as a tactical shooter, making it one of the very titles out there offering a tactical shooting experience. We've already put up a detailed write up explaining about the key differences from PUBG Mobile and you can check it out right here. In case you haven't tried the game yet, here's how you sideload the game and play it right now.

3) Fortnite

Fortnite is in-part responsible for creating the battle royale hype, so we had to add this to the mix. Unlike PUBG Mobile, this one's a super stable game and a lot of fun to play. Although Fortnite is a battle royale title, the gameplay is slightly different.

The only downside to the game is that it's not available on the Google Play Store, so you'll have to get it from the Epic Launcher. It's available directly from the App Store though.

4) PUBG Mobile

Well, lastly we have PUBG Mobile. Yes, the game that popularised the Battle Royale genre. The game lets you jump off to an island with 99 other players and get into an epic battle to get the 'Chicken Dinner'.

The game has a bunch of different weapons, looks great, and even works on phones with not-so-powerful specs. One of the best things about this game is that it's constantly updated with new skins, items, etc., so there's always something to look forward to. Give it a try if you haven't already, but keep your play time in check.

Intel Hits Back at AMD, Releases its Own Benchmarks to Disprove AMD’s Epyc Claims

The reason behind Intel taking such a step would surely be the importance of data-centric businesses for the company. Data-centric sales are currently worth almost half of Intel’s total revenue. So it’s quite understandable for Intel to do whatever it can to ensure that AMD takes as little as possible of Intel’s market share. The fact that AMD’s upcoming EPYC Rome processors are far superior in terms of core count and manufacturing process to Intel’s Xeon lineup. While Intel’s flagship, the Xeon 8280, features just 28 cores and 56 threads, AMD’s EPYC Rome CPUs will feature up to 64 cores and 128 threads. Apart from this, a more modern manufacturing process will also ensure better pricing and less power consumption. All this makes these benchmarks quite crucial for Intel, as it desperately needs something to show against AMD, as most of the other specs seem to be favoring the team Red, at least on paper.
AMD’s CEO Lisa Su, during her keynote at Computex 2019, claimed that her company’s upcoming EPYC Rome data center CPUs, based on the 7nm process node, will be twice as fast as Intel’s Cascade Lake Xeon processors using a well-known benchmark. Intel responded by saying that the Intel test systems were not configured properly and that the processors selected for the benchmark were not the most applicable. Intel has now released its own set of benchmarks to disprove the claims made by AMD.

“BASED ON AMD INTERNAL TESTING OF THE NAMD APO1 V2.12 BENCHMARK. AMD TESTS CONDUCTED ON AMD REFERENCE PLATFORM CONFIGURED WITH 2 X PRE-PRODUCTION 2ND GENERATION EPYC 7NM (“ROME”) 64 CORE SOC, 16 X 32GB DDR4 2933MHZ DIMMS, AND UBUNTU 19.04, 5.0 KERNEL AND USING THE AOCC 2.0 BETA COMPILER WITH OPENMPI 4.0, FFTW 3.3.8 AND CHARMS 6.7.1, ACHIEVED AN AVERAGE OF 19.60 NS/DAY; VERSUS A DELL 740 SERVER CONFIGURED WITH 2 X INTEL XEON PLATINUM 8280 28 CORE CPUS, 12 X 32GB DDR4 2933MHZ DIMMS AND UBUNTU 19.04, KERNEL 5.0 USING THE ICC 19.0.3 COMPILER WITH FFTW 3.3.8 AND CHARMS 6.7.1, ACHIEVED AN AVERAGE OF 9.68 NS/DAY. PERFORMANCE MAY VARY WITH PRODUCTION SILICON.”

NVIDIA GeForce Super: Two New Turing Cards Faster than RTX 2070 and RTX 2080 Coming?

This isn’t surprising at all, to be honest, NVIDIA has had a history of countering disruptive Radeon launches with unexpected “Ti” cards. The prime examples are the GTX 780 Ti, the 1070 Ti and more recently the GTX 1660 Ti. These cards weren’t based on new architectures or anything, they just had more shaders and/or memory than their non-Ti counterparts

Remember, that Super teaser that NVIDIA released right before Computex? Yeah, the one with the shiny silver plate with “Super” engraved on it.
